Regarding the Partial Transfer of LegalOn Technologies, Inc. Shares

Innovation Kyoto 2016 Investment Limited Partnership (hereinafter "KYOTO-iCAP Fund No.1"), whose general partner is Kyoto University Innovation Capital Co., Ltd (hereinafter "KYOTO- iCAP") (Headquarters : Sakyo-ku, Kyoto; President & CEO: Ko Kusumi), has completed the transfer of a portion of its shareholding in LegalOn Technologies, Inc. (hereinafter "LegalOn") (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Nozomu Tsunoda).

LegalOn is a legal tech startup founded by lawyers from major law firms and an engineering team with a background in information processing engineering, in collaboration with Professor Shinsuke Mori (Kyoto University Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies/ Graduate School of Informatics, Intelligence Science and Technology Course) who possesses extensive expertise and a proven track record in natural language processing technology. KYOTO-iCAP has supported LegalOn since its establishment in 2017, having completed three rounds of investments to date.

In connection with LegalOn Technologies' execution of the Series E funding round, KYOTO-iCAP has agreed to transfer a portion of its shareholding to LegalOn for the purpose of optimizing the company's shareholder structure. Following this transaction, Kyoto-iCAP will continue as a shareholder to support LegalOn' growth and provide ongoing assistance.

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kyoto University, KYOTO-iCAP provides investment and other business support to companies that utilize research results generated by Kyoto University and other national universities. We currently operate the KYOTO-iCAP No. 1 Fund (established in January 2016) with a total value of 16 billion yen and the Innovation Kyoto 2021 Investment Limited Partnership ("KYOTO-iCAP No. 2 Fund") (established in January 2021) with a total value of 18.1 billion yen.
