Selected for NEDO’s "MPM : Management Personnel Matching program"
Kyoto University Innovation Capital Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Kyoto iCAP") (Head office: Sakyo-ku, Kyoto; Representative Director: Kimi Kusumi) has been selected by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) as a recipient of the "Project to Support University Start-ups in Securing Management Personnel (MPM)". The project has been adopted by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) as one of the recipients of the MPM program.
This project aims to expand the pathways for acquiring management personnel for university-originated startups. It seeks to foster the creation and growth of these startups by identifying individuals interested in launching their own businesses or joining startup management, then matching them with university technology seeds and university-originated startups.
Kyoto iCAP was quick to recognize that the lack of management personnel is a bottleneck for entrepreneurship, and has established and teamed up with many deep tech companies, including the launch of its own pool of potential entrepreneurs, the membership organization ECC-iCAP, in 2017. Through this MPM project, we will develop these activities and accelerate the creation of world-class deep tech ventures from Kyoto and Kansai.
